The
planning of high school reunions has gone on for about as
long as high schools have been in existence. Traditionally,
these reunions were planned by a class committee
with a wide
diversity of experiences but not always in the area of special
event planning. With all good intentions from the beginning,
many committees found that the planning, organizing, research,
and the financial obligations of putting a reunion on were
more than they bargained for. That's where Reunion Managers
come in...
The
reunion management industry is so young, many committees do
not know what to look for when seeking a professional Reunion
Manager. Classic Reunions, Inc. would like to offer the following
guidelines for you to consider:
-
Find
a Reunion Manager who lives and works in your area - someone
who knows the school and the facilities that will best suit
your class needs.
-
Make
sure the Reunion Manager you hire has taken a training seminar
recognized by the National Association of Reunion Managers
or has several years (and reunions) of reunion planning
experience as their full-time occupation.
-
One
of the most important services a professional Reunion Manager
offers is the ability to track down a large percentage of
the class.
-
Meet
with the Reunion Manager and ask to see copies of materials
used in the planning, marketing, and execution of the reunions.
